金枪鱼（香港作吞拿鱼，台湾作鲔鱼），是一种海水鱼类，主要是指鲭科下面的金枪鱼属下的鱼类。直到2026年，在国际鱼类分类基准数据库中，包含8种鱼类。[2][3]。
金枪鱼属各物种之间大小变化很大，最小的金枪鱼属是黑鳍金枪鱼，其最大长度为100 cm（3.3英尺），重量为21千克（46磅）；最大的金枪鱼属则是北方蓝鳍金枪鱼，其最大长度为4.6米（15英尺），重量为684千克（1,508磅），平均长度为2米（6.6英尺），据信其寿命可以长达50岁。
金枪鱼、月鱼属以及鼠鲨目是目前仅存可将体温维持在比周围水体温度高的物种。金枪鱼是一种活跃而敏捷的食肉动物，该物种拥有光滑的流线型身体，也是游动速度最快的远洋鱼类之一；举例，黄鳍金枪鱼的游动速度可达75 km/h（47 mph）[4]。金枪鱼常在温暖海域出现，故而成为一种大量商业捕捞的对象，也是钓鱼活动当中的一种受欢迎鱼类。然而，由于人类的过度捕捞，蓝鳍金枪鱼等部分金枪鱼物种已深陷灭绝危机[5]。
词源与中文名称[编辑]
金枪鱼的英语“tuna”衍生自古希腊语θύννος（thýnnos）的中世纪拉丁语格式Thunnus──而该词又衍生自θύνω（thýnō），“匆忙、飞奔”之意[6][7]。
然而，英文中“tuna”的直接来源为美洲西班牙语，并依序源自西班牙语“atún”、安达卢西亚阿拉伯语“at-tūn”（同化于阿拉伯语的التون，al-tūn，现代阿拉伯语为التن），然后再往前才是自上述提及之希腊语和拉丁文之来源[8]。
清末民初时，江浙等地称其为“金槍魚”，台湾称之为“𩶾鱼”，台语念为“串鱼”，日本则称之为“黑鮪”。 “鮪”在中文中原指鳣鱼或大型鳢鱼，据说已绝种。日本治理台湾时期，因台湾盛产，故鮪魚之称广为引入中文，指称鮪屬鱼种。[9]
中华民国治理期间引入“金槍魚”称呼，1974年教育部曾一度公布金槍魚取代鮪魚成为正式名称。[10][11]。随着台湾大学学者整理鱼类名词后，改回以鮪魚为正式学名。[12]传统市场上，两种称呼仍并行使用直至今日。除此之外，因日本曾引进美国罐头品牌“Chicken of the Sea”，故“海底鸡”在台湾也成为鮪魚罐头的代称。

- 黄鳍鲔（学名：Thunnus albacares）
- 日文为“黄肌”、“黄鳍”、“木肌”，中文俗名又作“串仔”、“黄奇串”、“黑肉”、“瓮串”、“黄鳍金枪鱼”、“黄鳍串（澎湖)”[13]、“黄旗串”[9] 、“黄肌金枪”[10]。英文名：Yellowfin tuna。
- 大目鲔（学名：Thunnus obesus）
- 长腰鲔（学名：Thunnus tonggol）：
- 南方黑鲔（学名：Thunnus maccoyii）：
- 日文为“南鲔”。英文名：Southern bluefin tuna。
- 太平洋黑鲔（学名：Thunnus orientalis）：
- 日文为“黑鲔”。英文名：Pacific bluefin tuna。
- 大西洋黑鲔（学名：Thunnus thynnus）：
- 日文为“大西洋黒鲔”。英文名：Atlantic bluefin tuna。
- 以上三种原本都被统称“黑鲔”或“金枪鱼”，中文俗名又作“黑瓮串”、“黑暗串”、“东方鲔”、“东方蓝鳍鲔”、“黑串”、“乌瓮串”、“串鱼”、“𩶾”、“乌暗串”[13] 。
- 黑鳍鲔（学名：Thunnus atlanticus）：
- 日文为“大西洋鲔”。英文名：Blackfin tuna。
英文中的“Bullet tuna”（子弹金枪鱼，炸弹鱼）名字来自 “Thunnus rocheanus”，因为发现者认为是游速极快的金枪鱼。但在现今分类中属于花鲣属的圆花鲣。
