鞘脂（英语：sphingolipid）又称神经鞘脂[1]，是一类以鞘氨醇碱为骨架的脂质，鞘氨醇碱是一组脂肪族胺基醇，其中包括鞘氨醇。它们于1970年代在脑提取物中被发现，并因其神秘的特性而以神话中的斯芬克斯来命名。[2][3] 这些化合物在信号转导和细胞识别中发挥着重要作用。[4] 鞘脂代谢紊乱，即鞘脂病，对神经组织有特殊影响。末端带有羟基的鞘脂是神经酰胺。其他常见的与末端氧原子相连的基团包括磷酸胆碱（生成鞘磷脂）以及各种糖单体或二聚体（分别生成脑苷脂和globoside）。脑苷脂和globoside统称为鞘糖脂。
