Oracle Linux，正式名称为甲骨文企业Linux（Oracle Enterprise Linux），为甲骨文公司（脚本错误：没有“Lang”这个模块。）所发行的企业级Linux，其基于Red Hat Enterprise Linux。首次发布于2006年10月25日。其免费供应于大众下载、使用与发布，并为Red Hat版Linux用户提供有偿支援。 Oracle Linux有两种内核：兼容Red Hat Enterprise Linux的内核（使用RHEL源代码编译）和Oracle自己的Unbreakable Enterprise内核。Oracle声明Unbreakable Enterprise内核兼容RHEL，Oracle中间件和经过RHEL认证的第三方应用程序可以不经过修改的在Unbreakable Enterprise内核上运行。

Oracle Linux提供两个内核版本：

红帽相容内核（Red Hat Compatible Kernel）：与红帽企业Linux（RHEL）版相容
Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel（UEK）：基于Linux内核，加上甲骨文公司对于OLTP，InfiniBand，SSD硬盘存取等加强功能。

甲骨文执行长赖瑞·艾利森指出，Unbreakable Linux的用户若要软件更新支持，则每台服务器收费99美元，而技术支援则是每台双重服务器收取399美元，更大型的系统则年付999美元。

版本和更新历史[编辑]

2012年3月，甲骨文公司宣布在其公共yum储存库上，为Oracle Linux提供免费的软件更新和勘误。^[1]2013年9月，甲骨文宣布改用阿卡迈科技 CDN来应对日益增长，每个月消耗流量将近来80TB数据的免费公共yum服务器。^[2]

发布历史[编辑]

Oracle Linux使用与Red Hat Enterprise Linux相同的版本命名惯例（例如，第一个版本Oracle Linux 4.5就是基于RHEL 4.5）。
