Luv(sic) Hexalogy 是一张由日本传奇音乐制作人Nujabes[1]与饶舌歌手Shing02（英语：Shing02）合作创作的专辑，并在Nujabes意外离世后释出。该专辑融合了拉丁爵士、灵魂乐与鼓点作为基底，搭配Shing02的说唱，成为jazz rap的一大经典之作。

Luv与(sic)都是故意拼错的字母，Luv为Love的简写，sic不只能翻为sick，在拉丁文中的意思为“原来就是这么写的”。根据Shing02在Luv(sic) Hexalogy的随附手册中的描述为：

我于2000年末首次将"Luv(sic)"奉献给音乐女神，而15年后我们有了6部曲（Hexalogy）。其中，有一个特定的声音将这些章节串连起来，或着你愿意的话，一个角色。Luv(sic)的拼写方式（借用sic在拉丁语中有标注讹误的用法）代表这不是一首直白的情歌，而是裹藏着晦涩的坦承。当然，也有不少嘻哈作品也是情书体，如LL Cool J的“I Need Love,”或Common的“I Used to Love H.E.R”，然而对我而言重要的是写出个人私事-一首可以诉说我对音乐那份渴望永恒关系却难掩脆弱的告白。
原文：I first dedicated "Luv(sic)" to the goddess of music in the end of 2000, and fifteen years later, we have a six-part series (Hexalogy). There is a certain voice that unites the chapters, a character if you will. The way Luv(sic) is spelled (as in the Latin sic, for a misspelled quote) symbolizes how it wasn't a straightforward love song, there's a layer of obscured honesty. Obviously, there's many classic hip-hop songs in the form of love letters, such as LL Cool J's "I Need Love," or Common's "I Used to Love H.E.R", but to me it was important to write something personal, a song that spoke about my own vulnerability about wanting to have a lasting relationship with music.

从2000年开始录制直至Nujabes于2010年意外离世[3][4]时共录制好了Pt1至Pt3并分散发行于不同专辑之中。[5]。Pt.4与Pt.5虽然还没发布，但都已经录制完成，并在过世不久后发布。Pt.6则于Nujabes逝世三周年的2013年2月26日发布，[6]，根据Shing02的脸书贴文，这是他们在Nujabes手机中发现已经制作好的音轨，并由Shing02接续录音完成。

Luv(sic)六部曲都有发行独立的黑胶唱片，而2015年12月9日Nuajabes创立的厂牌Hydeout Productions发行了6部曲的正式合集，除了六首初始歌曲，还收录纯音乐版本以及其他DJremix的致敬版本。[7]

Part 1 (2001)[编辑]

我还记得在艾尔塞里托的家中用Roland VS-1640（混音器）和Oktava（英语：Oktava）的麦克风（并且我现在还在使用）录制这首歌。如前所述，这首歌是一封来自25岁饶舌歌手的信。它打破了我以往的风格，而回归成我高中时创作的诗。本质上，说唱是一种极致的创意写作和叙事形式。我在塑造一个用成语与谜语说话的角色，但同时也在构建一种叙事——你只需透过韵脚之间的留白，便能与之共鸣。听完这首歌后，我对自己的表现方式有些不确定，但这也不重要。我活在当下。
原文：I remember recording the vocals to Luv(sic) on a Roland VS-1640 and an Octava mic (which I still use) at my home studio in El Cerrito. As noted, the song is a simple letter from a 25-year old rapper. It was a departure from my usual style, but a return to poetry I had written back in high school. In essence, rap is a form of creative writing and storytelling at its best. I was building a character that spoke in idioms and riddles, but also a narrative you can relate to by reading "between the rhymes." After listening back to the song, I wasn't sure about my delivery, but it didn't really matter, either. I was living the moment.

Nujabes的音乐取样自高濑亚纪（英语：Aki Takase）的密涅瓦的猫头鹰作为该曲的低音旋律和歇段。前奏则采样比尔·寇司比的《Buck, Buck》中的– "I told you that story to tell you this one"。该曲由三段主歌构成，每段主歌之间都穿插著Shing02的副歌，并混入了李察·普瑞尔的人声采样。

Part 2 (2003)[编辑]

Shing02将Pt.2作为Pt.1的续篇，仿佛是一封联系失联之人的信。该曲于911事件后不久发表，当时Shing02正巧准备返回加州，导致他的航班延期。


Nujabes又寄给我另一段旋律了。这使我从手头的工作中脱离开来并且这气氛也启发我写下了对世界的感受。第一行非常自然地写下了：“此刻再次...”

Pt.2的黑胶唱片于2002年发行，[11]，封面是涂鸦艺术家Syu的作品。Nujabes采样了伊凡·林斯和伊利斯·里贾纳（英语：Elis Regina）共同演奏的"Qualquer Dia"，降key的同时又加快了BPM，并伴随着DJ Dai-Nasty在M2R录音室打造的鼓点节奏与搓碟音效。

Part 3 (2005)[编辑]

当Pt.2录制完没多久，Nujabes便主动连系Shing02筹备续作，Shing02透露说Pt.3的核心是音乐的力量，以及每个个体需要回归音乐的根源，去发现这种“力量”。因此，Pt.3常被视作日本嘻哈商业化的抗议宣言。


...我会说服他这世界有非常多粉丝喜爱这例列的概念，因此我们不该剥夺他们观看的权利。最终他还是屈服了，而这就是我们如何处理分歧。

Pt.3原先是Nujabes专辑Modal Soul的第四首单曲，网络流传的加长版本包含第三段主歌，以及取样自罗德·麦克库恩（英语：Rod McKuen）的口述专辑《In Search of Eros》口白开场与结尾。该混音版本的片段曾出现在Shing02与DJ Icewater的合作作品《For the Tyme Being》中，以与艾米·迈耶（英语：Emi Meyer）合唱的Part 1改编版组曲形式呈现。

2010年3月1日，Shing02在其YouTube频道发布新演绎版本，以此致敬于当年一月因癌症去世的beatboxer兼乐迷Jeff Resurreccion。作为《Hexalogy》合辑的一部分，2015年3月（数位版发行十年后、CD版发行一个月后）在日本发行了经过重新混音并录制新人声的版本。[13]此混音版虽包含第三段主歌，但删除了Rod McKuen的取样段落及原始版与泄漏版中的无鼓点间奏。单曲发行版同时收录了Ta-ku制作的混音版本。黑胶封面延续Part 2的设计，同样由涂鸦艺术家Syu创作。

此曲是系列中第二首取样巴西歌手伊凡·林斯作品的歌曲——循环使用了娜娜·凯米（英语：Nana Caymmi）翻唱版《Tens (Calmaria)》的段落，原唱伊凡·林斯本人更参与钢琴演奏。搓碟部分由Spin Master A-1在Shing02的工作室完成。

Part 4 (2011)[编辑]

2008年时，Shing02曾向Nujabes表示Luv(sic)系列已经完结，但附带一个条件：如果Nujabes能再给他三首音轨，这个系列就能继续延伸。在宇山宽人（Uyama Hiroto）等日本音乐人的协助下，数年后其中两首成为了Part 4和Part 5。Pt.4的黑胶唱片于7月7日发行，[15]封面由艺术家FJD完成。

Part 5 (2012)[编辑]

最初，Nujabes认为《Part 5》的器乐版本过于阴郁而不适合使用，但Shing02希望创造有别于前作和谐平静风格的声音。这首歌的歌词创作于Nujabes离世后，Shing02在歌词中同时悼念了Nujabes与已故beatboxer Jeff Resurreccion。

当所有碎片完美契合时，总会浮现一种奇妙的机缘感。我相信所有艺术家都能证实这点——正是这些时刻，提醒着我们当初为何会爱上创作。

Grand Finale (2013)[编辑]

当Shing02造访唱片行“Tribe Records”时，店主告诉他：在Nujabes过世后，其手机里发现了一首歌名为〈Luv(sic) Grand Finale〉。

当时我相当震惊，他当场在店内播放了那段循环旋律。虽然只是个简单的循环段落，但我当下就明白我们必须完成这首作品。

Luv(sic)在串流平台的播放次数已超8000万次，并且整张专辑广受好评。并且为纪念Nujabes，每年都会在Nujabes的忌日举办纪念音乐会。[20] 2018年3月25日，Luv(sic) Hexalogy正式上线Spotify。[21]
