LiveJournal（经常简写为LJ）是一个在互联网上提供写作的虚拟社群服务。而由于这项服务以GPL授权发布源代码，所以LiveJournal也被用来指这套代码。
LiveJournal由Brad Fitzpatrick于1999年成立，当初是为了与他的高中朋友们保持联系[5]。在 2005年1月时，Six Apart买下提供LiveJournal服务的公司Danga Interactive。
LiveJournal在英语国家最为流行（尽管其拥有语言选择功能），美国拥有其最多用户。同时，它也拥有一个规模庞大的俄罗斯用户社群[6]。LiveJournal是 Runet上最大的在线社群，占据大约45%的俄罗斯博客网站入口。[7] 根据Alexa Internet，LiveJournal50% 的访问来自俄罗斯。下表是LiveJournal用户最多的十五个国家（2010年5月22日）[8] （依据为该网站用户提供的信息）:
