Cercaria其实不是一个属，而是“尾蚴”的意思，即复殖亚纲物种生长史在成虫之前的其中一个阶段。
对于吸虫纲未知物种的尾蚴，生物学家习惯为其给予“Cercaria”这个不存在的属名，直至其生活史及所属物种有答案为止。因此，不同的“Cercaria”物种可能会从属于不同的科与属，但都是吸虫纲的物种。

- Cercaria capricornia VII 及 Cercaria capricornia VIII：发现于澳大利亚昆士兰州中部，以光滑织纹螺为中间宿主[4]。
