Born of Osiris是来自美国伊利诺伊州芝加哥的金属乐团，成立于2003年。乐团名字经过几次变动，包括Diminished（2003–2004年）、Your Heart Engraved（2004–2006年）以及Rosecrance（2006–2007年），2007年定为目前的名字[1]。团名的灵感来自于埃及神话中，冥王欧西里斯的儿子荷鲁斯的故事[2]。
历史[编辑]
2003年成立于芝加哥郊区，起先为一支金属核乐团，同地区的其他金属核乐团包括Veil of Maya、Monsters、Oceano以及For All I Am。
2007年，乐团与Sumerian Records签约。2009年7月7日，发行首张专辑《A Higher Place》[3]，登上告示牌200大专辑榜第73名[4]。之后乐团活跃于各个音乐节中，例如The Summer Slaughter Tour（2008年、2009年和2015年）和Music as a Weapon IV (2009)。2009年，乐团与Hatebreed、All Shall Perish、After the Burial、Caliban和Suffokate在全美展开共同巡演[5]。同年12月，All Shall Perish的吉他手Jason Richardson加入乐团，开始创作并录制新专辑。
2011年3月22日，发行第二张专辑《The Discovery》，登上告示牌200大专辑榜第87名[6]。12月21日，乐团开除吉他手Jason Richardson。
2013年6月25日，Sumerian Records在YouTube频道上传单曲〈MΔchine〉的音乐影片。8月20日，发行第三张专辑《Tomorrow We Die ∆live》，登上告示牌200大专辑榜第27名[7]。之后乐团展开北美巡回，参加Rockstar Mayhem Festival。与Asking Alexandria、August Burns Red、Crown the Empire与We Came as Romans共同巡演。也参加了Warped巡回等各种音乐活动。
2015年8月，参加The Summer Slaughter Tour，与Arch Enemy同台。9月，赴俄罗斯演出。10月23日，发行第四张专辑《Soul Sphere》[8]，登上告示牌200大专辑榜第67名[9]。

音乐风格[编辑]
乐团的曲风通常被归类为金属核、技术死亡核、前卫死亡核、结构金属、数学金属和前卫金属。他们的音乐受到Meshuggah、Cannibal Corpse、Converge、Hatebreed、Slayer和The Mars Volta的影响[10]。
音乐中结合大量breakdown、电吉他与键盘复杂高速的旋律、电子音效、频繁的变拍过门。乐曲常融合史诗氛围与残暴侵略性，擅长营造深沉、迷幻的气氛感。
专辑封面[编辑]
乐团专辑封面有着固定主题，在设计上围绕着灵性开发、高维意识、宇宙能量与人体脉轮的元素。一些单曲和宣传海报，也是依照同样的风格[2]。
歌词主题[编辑]
乐团的歌词包括宇宙、五维、灵魂、灵性、精神自我、人性与机器、反政府、宗教批判等反思性主题[2]。在音乐录影带中，也维持一贯的图像风格，包括脉轮、太空、九大行星、第三眼、金字塔与埃及神祇[2]。
