辟邪是一种被认为能驱除邪恶或远离伤害的魔法，例如邪眼就被认为是一种辟邪力量。人们也可能出于迷信或遵循旧有的习俗而做出辟邪动作，例如佩戴幸运物、厌胜物、敲木头，或做出交叉手指等手势。历史上，许多民族都相信通过各种各样的物品和护身符可以辟邪。
