木橘（学名：Aegle marmelos），又名木苹果、孟加拉苹果[4]、孟加拉木苹果[5]、日本苦橙[6]，或音译作贝尔果、贝儿果[7][8]，为芸香科木橘属下的唯一物种[4][9]。 原生于印度次大陆及东南亚[2]，本物种见于印度、孟加拉国[2][9]。 木橘树在印度教和佛教都被认为是神圣的。
描述[编辑]
木橘树是一种落叶植物，属于小型到中型的树种，最高可达13米（43英尺）高。
文化[编辑]
在尼泊尔首都加德满都，当地原住民内瓦尔人（Newari）的女孩会在两、三岁到进入青春期之前期间与一颗木橘的果实蒂结一次“果实婚”[10]。
