时代

时代是年代学或史学领域为了方便研究而划分出来的时间段，例如将某个君主统治的时间段划分出来并且赋予名字以及将地球历史进一步划分成更细的地质年代。[1]某个时代常依这个时间段的核心特征命名，例如维多利亚时代。[2]
