Born of Osiris是來自美國伊利諾州芝加哥的金屬樂團，成立於2003年。樂團名字經過幾次變動，包括Diminished（2003–2004年）、Your Heart Engraved（2004–2006年）以及Rosecrance（2006–2007年），2007年定為目前的名字[1]。團名的靈感來自於埃及神話中，冥王歐西里斯的兒子荷魯斯的故事[2]。
歷史[编辑]
2003年成立於芝加哥郊區，起先為一支金屬核樂團，同地區的其他金屬核樂團包括Veil of Maya、Monsters、Oceano以及For All I Am。
2007年，樂團與Sumerian Records簽約。2009年7月7日，發行首張專輯《A Higher Place》[3]，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第73名[4]。之後樂團活躍於各個音樂節中，例如The Summer Slaughter Tour（2008年、2009年和2015年）和Music as a Weapon IV (2009)。2009年，樂團與Hatebreed、All Shall Perish、After the Burial、Caliban和Suffokate在全美展開共同巡演[5]。同年12月，All Shall Perish的吉他手Jason Richardson加入樂團，開始創作並錄製新專輯。
2011年3月22日，發行第二張專輯《The Discovery》，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第87名[6]。12月21日，樂團開除吉他手Jason Richardson。
2013年6月25日，Sumerian Records在YouTube頻道上傳單曲〈MΔchine〉的音樂影片。8月20日，發行第三張專輯《Tomorrow We Die ∆live》，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第27名[7]。之後樂團展開北美巡迴，參加Rockstar Mayhem Festival。與Asking Alexandria、August Burns Red、Crown the Empire與We Came as Romans共同巡演。也參加了Warped巡迴等各種音樂活動。
2015年8月，參加The Summer Slaughter Tour，與Arch Enemy同台。9月，赴俄羅斯演出。10月23日，發行第四張專輯《Soul Sphere》[8]，登上告示牌200大專輯榜第67名[9]。

音樂風格[编辑]
樂團的曲風通常被歸類為金屬核、技術死亡核、前衛死亡核、結構金屬、數學金屬和前衛金屬。他們的音樂受到Meshuggah、Cannibal Corpse、Converge、Hatebreed、Slayer和The Mars Volta的影響[10]。
音樂中結合大量breakdown、電吉他與鍵盤複雜高速的旋律、電子音效、頻繁的變拍過門。樂曲常融合史詩氛圍與殘暴侵略性，擅長營造深沉、迷幻的氣氛感。

樂團專輯封面有著固定主題，在設計上圍繞著靈性開發、高維意識、宇宙能量與人體脈輪的元素。一些單曲和宣傳海報，也是依照同樣的風格[2]。
歌詞主題[编辑]
樂團的歌詞包括宇宙、五維、靈魂、靈性、精神自我、人性與機器、反政府、宗教批判等反思性主題[2]。在音樂錄影帶中，也維持一貫的圖像風格，包括脈輪、太空、九大行星、第三眼、金字塔與埃及神祇[2]。
