天门冬科(学名:Asparagaceae)是单子叶植物天门冬目的一科。传统上本科的植物常被分在百合科中,现代的植物分类学者多根据《被子植物APG分类法》(1998年)、《被子植物APG II分类法 (修订版)》(2003年)、《被子植物APG III分类法》(2009年)采用1789年 安托万·罗兰·德朱西厄所发表的学名。
天门冬科的许多成员都是颇具经济价值的植物物种,例如具有食药价值的芦笋、龙血树、玉竹,常作园艺观赏植物的玉簪、麦冬、铃兰,富含纤维可作工业制造原料的龙舌兰、丝兰等。
分类[编辑]
自被子植物APG III分类法之后,原本常用的西丽草科、龙舌兰亚科、狭义天门冬科、风信子科、异蕊草科、假叶树科、紫灯花科等都被并入广义的天门冬科[1][2],而在此以前(如APG II对上述类群各取狭义定义的做法较为宽松)。
广义的天门冬科尽管符合系统分类学的单系性原则,但整个科以及内部部分亚科在形态上缺少明显的共衍征,仅仅是在花形态上大致“形似百合”[2]。以下遵循2009年Mark W. Chase等人发表的七亚科分类法[3],且七个亚科的单系性均得到了分子系统发生学的支持[4]:
- 龙舌兰亚科 Agavoideae(西丽草科和龙舌兰科合并成立龙舌兰亚科)
- 星捧月亚科 Aphyllanthoideae(包含原星捧月科)
- 天门冬亚科 Asparagoideae (包含原狭义天门冬科)
- 紫灯花亚科 Brodiaeoideae(包含原紫灯花科)
- 多须草亚科 Lomandroideae (包含原异蕊草科)
- 假叶树亚科 Nolinoideae(包含原假叶树科)
- 绵枣儿亚科 Scilloideae (包含原风信子科)
