Oracle Linux，正式名稱為甲骨文企業Linux（Oracle Enterprise Linux），為甲骨文公司（腳本錯誤：沒有「Lang」這個模塊。）所發行的企業級Linux，其基於Red Hat Enterprise Linux。首次發佈於2006年10月25日。其免費供應於大眾下載、使用與發佈，並為Red Hat版Linux用戶提供有償支援。 Oracle Linux有兩種內核：兼容Red Hat Enterprise Linux的內核（使用RHEL原始碼編譯）和Oracle自己的Unbreakable Enterprise內核。Oracle聲明Unbreakable Enterprise內核兼容RHEL，Oracle中間件和經過RHEL認證的第三方應用程式可以不經過修改的在Unbreakable Enterprise內核上運行。

Oracle Linux提供兩個內核版本：

紅帽相容內核（Red Hat Compatible Kernel）：與紅帽企業Linux（RHEL）版相容
Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel（UEK）：基於Linux內核，加上甲骨文公司對於OLTP，InfiniBand，SSD硬碟存取等加強功能。

技術支持[編輯]

甲骨文執行長賴瑞·艾利森指出，Unbreakable Linux的用戶若要軟件更新支持，則每台伺服器收費99美元，而技術支援則是每台雙重伺服器收取399美元，更大型的系統則年付999美元。

版本和更新歷史[編輯]

2012年3月，甲骨文公司宣佈在其公共yum儲存庫上，為Oracle Linux提供免費的軟件更新和勘誤。^[1]2013年9月，甲骨文宣佈改用阿卡邁科技 CDN來應對日益增長，每個月消耗流量將近來80TB數據的免費公共yum伺服器。^[2]

發佈歷史[編輯]

Oracle Linux使用與Red Hat Enterprise Linux相同的版本命名慣例（例如，第一個版本Oracle Linux 4.5就是基於RHEL 4.5）。
