蔺藨草属（学名：Trichophorum）为莎草科莎草亚科蔺藨草族下的的唯一属，为多年生草本植物，共21种[2]，主要见于北半球的温带和亚热带地区，包括美国西南部和南美洲的阿根廷西北部[3]。
形态特征[编辑]
蔺藨草属主要特征为秆丛生，基部具有无叶的舌状叶鞘。叶片退化并缩短[3]。
通常具有鳞片状的总苞，先端有短尖或芒。其花序较为特殊，退化为单个顶生小穗或多个小穗聚成的头状结构。鳞片以螺旋状排列，花为单性或两性，雄蕊数目不固定，可为2、3或6个。花柱基部微微增大，花朵下位有6条丝状刚毛。蔺藨草属的小坚果为三棱形或呈背腹扁平，表面光滑，果实先端喙不明显。[3]
