辛东根[1]（韩语：신동근，罗马化：Shin Dong Geun，1993年3月10日—），英文名为Peniel Dong Shin (韩语：프니엘 동 신)， 艺名为Peniel（韩语：프니엘，日语：プニエル），他于2012年以韩国男子音乐组合BTOB成员正式出道，出道初期在队内兼任Rap与Vocal、领舞，现为Rapper之一、主舞，子团BTOB 4U成员之一。

早年生活[编辑]

Peniel的家中成员有父母和一姐姐，目前均于美国居住。他毕业于Barbara B. Rose Elementary School、Prairie Middle School，来到韩国成为练习生后，他就读清潭高等学校毕业、汉阳大学国际学系辍学[2]。在美国芝加哥曾是专业射击选手，且获得奖牌殊荣。

他因陪朋友参加JYP娱乐征选，被相中成为练习生。曾为JYP娱乐旗下乐团DAY6的预备成员，在团内担任吉他手[a]。后转至Cube娱乐，与旼赫作为最后加入BTOB的两位成员正式出道[b]。

歌手事业[编辑]

2012年3月21日，Peniel以BTOB成员正式出道。2013年4月1日，他担任阿里郎电视台《Pops in Seoul》的固定MC。2016年9月19日，Vocal Line成员恩光、昌燮、炫植、星材以分队“BTOB-BLUE（韩语：비투비–블루）”推出数位单曲〈留在我身边（韩语：내 곁에 서 있어줘）〉，MV由他执导[3]。同年11月14日，他出演KBS综艺节目《大国民脱口秀-你好》，并作为申请者发出苦恼事由。自2015年开始，他便一直戴着帽子进行活动，在节目中吐露了自己长久以来的烦恼与戴着帽子的原因[4][5]。

2017年3月30日至4月12日，举行首次个人摄影展“PENOGRAPHY”[6]。 同年6月7日，成员昌燮以首张单曲《bpm82.5》于日本正式个人出道，专辑封面内页均由他亲自拍摄。 6月27日，作为特别企划《PIECE OF BTOB》的第三位Solo成员，公开自创曲〈THAT GIRL〉，歌词将夏天比喻为女孩、是充满夏日气息与活力愉悦的歌曲[7]。另外该歌曲作为广告歌曲在Youtube网站上广为播放[8]。2018年11月23日至12月2日，他举行第二次个人摄影展“SECOND PENOGRAPHY”[9]。 同年12月11日，成员昌燮以首张迷你专辑《Mark》于韩国个人出道，继日文单曲后再次亲自为昌燮拍摄专辑封面及概念照。

2019年2月25日，担任电台tbs eFM英语广播节目《SKOOL K-POP》的固定DJ。后于2020年4月下车。同年5月13日，他发行首张个人数位单曲〈B.O.D〉，由他参与填词，其姐夫兼作曲家KAIROS操刀制作[10]。 7月31日，发表第二张个人数位单曲〈FLY23〉，由他参与填词、KAIROS作曲制作[11]。同年8月27日，时隔约一个月发表第三张个人数位单曲〈Flip〉，并由饶舌歌手Beenzino（韩语：빈지노）参与Featuring，该曲由他与Beenzino参与Rap填词、KAIROS作曲填词制作[12]。

2020年2月6日，为成员星材的个人数位单曲企划《3×2＝6》Part 3 之歌曲〈Hypnotized〉参与合唱，该曲由他和星材共同创作。同年7月2日，他成为DIVE Studio节目《Get Real》的固定主持之一。10月27日，宣布已退役成员恩光、旼赫、昌燮以及免服役的Peniel组成分队“BTOB 4U”。11月16日，子团BTOB 4U发表首张迷你专辑《INSIDE》。

2023年11月6日，与Cube娱乐的合约到期，与公司针对团体商标权问题，经长时间协商破局后，BTOB全员决定不续约，双方结束长达11年的合作关系[13][14]。2024年2月21日，恩光、旼赫、炫植、Peniel共同于娱乐公司Day One Dream旗下成立新音乐厂牌“BTOB COMPANY”，继续以BTOB名义多方位发展[15]。同年6月19日，他发行个人数位单曲《Story of my L:ife》，其中包含两首主打歌曲〈MIOBI〉及〈Come Home〉[16]，展现了过往少见的歌唱实力，亦参与两首主打歌曲之词曲创作[17]。9月29日，他发行个人数位单曲《Story of my L:ove》[18]。

2026年5月22日，他发行个人数位单曲《IDKI（I Don't Know If）》[19]，其中包含同名主打歌曲及收录曲〈VHS〉，他亦参与了两首歌曲的歌词创作[20]。

个人生活[编辑]

2022年8月，他因运动导致跟腱破裂需进行手术，在伤势恢复前中断活动；同月13日，他于个人社群表示已顺利完成手术[21]。
