尺蛾科的学名package.lua第80行Lua错误：module 'Module:Lang/data/iana languages' not found来自希腊语，由“大地”（package.lua第80行Lua错误：module 'Module:Lang/data/iana languages' not found）与“量度”（package.lua第80行Lua错误：module 'Module:Lang/data/iana languages' not found）组成，因为其幼虫的移动形态就好像在丈量一样[2]。
