世界氣象組織（Template:Langx，縮寫：WMO；Template:Langx，縮寫：OMM；Template:Langx，縮寫：MOM）是聯合國15個專門機構之一。其前身為腳本錯誤：沒有「ilh」這個模塊。（Template:Langx，縮寫：IMO）。

幹部[編輯]

秘書長為阿根廷國家氣象局(SMN)前局長席勒斯特·紹羅（Celeste Saulo）。

副秘書長為美國的科巴雷特（Ko Barrett），曾擔任美國國際開發署全球氣候變遷計畫主任。

助理秘書長為來自加納的托馬斯·阿薩雷（Thomas Asare），會計師出身，曾擔任聯合國兒童基金會（UNICEF）財務和行政管理司主計長兼司長及非洲聯盟委員會規劃、預算、財務和會計部主任。

歷史[編輯]

1873年，國際氣象組織在維也納成立。1946年7月，挪威學者海塞貝格博士在巴黎舉行的一次國際氣象組織的會議上，起草了一份《世界氣象公約草案》，並提議國際氣象組織改名為「世界氣象組織」、成為聯合國的專門機構之一。1947年9月，國際氣象組織在華盛頓特區召開大會，通過《世界氣象組織公約》（腳本錯誤：沒有「Lang」這個模塊。），決定成立「世界氣象組織」。1950年3月23日，公約正式生效，國際氣象組織正式更名為世界氣象組織。1951年，世界氣象組織成為聯合國的專門機構並開始運作。1960年6月，世界氣象組織決定將公約生效日期和世界氣象組織更名日3月23日定為世界氣象日。截止2013年1月1日，有191個國家和地區參加這一組織。[1][2][3]
