藺藨草屬（學名：Trichophorum）為莎草科莎草亞科藺藨草族下的的唯一屬，為多年生草本植物，共21種[2]，主要見於北半球的溫帶和亞熱帶地區，包括美國西南部和南美洲的阿根廷西北部[3]。
形態特徵[編輯]
藺藨草屬主要特徵為稈叢生，基部具有無葉的舌狀葉鞘。葉片退化並縮短[3]。
通常具有鱗片狀的總苞，先端有短尖或芒。其花序較為特殊，退化為單個頂生小穗或多個小穗聚成的頭狀結構。鱗片以螺旋狀排列，花為單性或兩性，雄蕊數目不固定，可為2、3或6個。花柱基部微微增大，花朵下位有6條絲狀剛毛。藺藨草屬的小堅果為三棱形或呈背腹扁平，表面光滑，果實先端喙不明顯。[3]
