原鳃亚纲（学名：Protobranchia）是双壳纲之下的一个亚纲[2]，下领三个有现生种的目和一个只有化石种的目。 这些深水的双壳纲物种均为体型细小的原始物种。
型态描述[编辑]
原鳃亚纲动物都有一套相对较原始的鳃，而在壳的铰有一排短小的铰齿，而且壳内有珠母层[3]。
