辛東根[1]（韓語：신동근，羅馬化：Shin Dong Geun，1993年3月10日—），英文名為Peniel Dong Shin (韓語：프니엘 동 신)， 藝名為Peniel（韓語：프니엘，日語：プニエル），他於2012年以韓國男子音樂組合BTOB成員正式出道，出道初期在隊內兼任Rap與Vocal、領舞，現為Rapper之一、主舞，子團BTOB 4U成員之一。

早年生活[編輯]

Peniel的家中成員有父母和一姊姊，目前均於美國居住。他畢業於Barbara B. Rose Elementary School、Prairie Middle School，來到韓國成為練習生後，他就讀清潭高等學校畢業、漢陽大學國際學系輟學[2]。在美國芝加哥曾是專業射擊選手，且獲得獎牌殊榮。

他因陪朋友參加JYP娛樂徵選，被相中成為練習生。曾為JYP娛樂旗下樂團DAY6的預備成員，在團內擔任結他手[a]。後轉至Cube娛樂，與旼赫作為最後加入BTOB的兩位成員正式出道[b]。

歌手事業[編輯]

2012年3月21日，Peniel以BTOB成員正式出道。2013年4月1日，他擔任阿里郎電視台《Pops in Seoul》的固定MC。2016年9月19日，Vocal Line成員恩光、昌燮、炫植、星材以分隊「BTOB-BLUE（韓語：비투비–블루）」推出數位單曲〈留在我身邊（韓語：내 곁에 서 있어줘）〉，MV由他執導[3]。同年11月14日，他出演KBS綜藝節目《大國民脫口秀-你好》，並作為申請者發出苦惱事由。自2015年開始，他便一直戴着帽子進行活動，在節目中吐露了自己長久以來的煩惱與戴着帽子的原因[4][5]。

2017年3月30日至4月12日，舉行首次個人攝影展「PENOGRAPHY」[6]。 同年6月7日，成員昌燮以首張單曲《bpm82.5》於日本正式個人出道，專輯封面內頁均由他親自拍攝。 6月27日，作為特別企劃《PIECE OF BTOB》的第三位Solo成員，公開自創曲〈THAT GIRL〉，歌詞將夏天比喻為女孩、是充滿夏日氣息與活力愉悅的歌曲[7]。另外該歌曲作為廣告歌曲在Youtube網站上廣為播放[8]。2018年11月23日至12月2日，他舉行第二次個人攝影展「SECOND PENOGRAPHY」[9]。 同年12月11日，成員昌燮以首張迷你專輯《Mark》於韓國個人出道，繼日文單曲後再次親自為昌燮拍攝專輯封面及概念照。

2019年2月25日，擔任電台tbs eFM英語廣播節目《SKOOL K-POP》的固定DJ。後於2020年4月下車。同年5月13日，他發行首張個人數位單曲〈B.O.D〉，由他參與填詞，其姊夫兼作曲家KAIROS操刀製作[10]。 7月31日，發表第二張個人數位單曲〈FLY23〉，由他參與填詞、KAIROS作曲製作[11]。同年8月27日，時隔約一個月發表第三張個人數位單曲〈Flip〉，並由饒舌歌手Beenzino（韓語：빈지노）參與Featuring，該曲由他與Beenzino參與Rap填詞、KAIROS作曲填詞製作[12]。

2020年2月6日，為成員星材的個人數位單曲企劃《3×2＝6》Part 3 之歌曲〈Hypnotized〉參與合唱，該曲由他和星材共同創作。同年7月2日，他成為DIVE Studio節目《Get Real》的固定主持之一。10月27日，宣佈已退役成員恩光、旼赫、昌燮以及免服役的Peniel組成分隊「BTOB 4U」。11月16日，子團BTOB 4U發表首張迷你專輯《INSIDE》。

2023年11月6日，與Cube娛樂的合約到期，與公司針對團體商標權問題，經長時間協商破局後，BTOB全員決定不續約，雙方結束長達11年的合作關係[13][14]。2024年2月21日，恩光、旼赫、炫植、Peniel共同於娛樂公司Day One Dream旗下成立新音樂廠牌「BTOB COMPANY」，繼續以BTOB名義多方位發展[15]。同年6月19日，他發行個人數位單曲《Story of my L:ife》，其中包含兩首主打歌曲〈MIOBI〉及〈Come Home〉[16]，展現了過往少見的歌唱實力，亦參與兩首主打歌曲之詞曲創作[17]。9月29日，他發行個人數位單曲《Story of my L:ove》[18]。

2026年5月22日，他發行個人數位單曲《IDKI（I Don't Know If）》[19]，其中包含同名主打歌曲及收錄曲〈VHS〉，他亦參與了兩首歌曲的歌詞創作[20]。

個人生活[編輯]

2022年8月，他因運動導致跟腱破裂需進行手術，在傷勢恢復前中斷活動；同月13日，他於個人社群表示已順利完成手術[21]。
