Giphy，一般写成GIPHY，是美国的一个GIF搜索引擎，用户可以在这里通过输入文字来搜寻对应的GIF。
历史[编辑]
Giphy由Alex Chung和Jace Cooke于2013年2月创立。[3][4][5]Giphy在创建后第一周便吸引了约100万用户。[6]截至2016年10月，Giphy每天有1亿活跃用户，每天产生超过10亿个GIF，每天有200万小时的GIF内容被观看。[7][8]
2020年5月，美国社交媒体公司Facebook公司（现为Meta公司）宣布以4亿美元收购GIPHY。[9]2021年8月12日，英国竞争及市场管理局发表报告指这笔收购可能拒绝其他社交平台使用Giphy，并增加Facebook的市场影响力。[10]9月8日，英国当局要求Facebook出售其持有的Giphy股份。Facebook质疑当局并没有权力作出这项要求，并指Giphy与其他社交平台，如Twitter、Snapchat、TikTok的整合并没有因收购案而改变。[11]
