SN 2002cx是一顆奇特的Ia型超新星[6][7][8]。它由勞倫斯伯克利國家實驗室的研究團隊於2002年5月發現[2]。它與通常的Ia型超新星不同，於先前發現的幾個奇特Ia型超新星也不同，例如SN 1991T和SN 1991bg[5][9]。
