在1990年代期间，Matrox公司的Millennium系列显卡在2D方面的速度、质量都有极佳的表现，不过在3D显卡方面的效能、市占都逐渐落后于其它业者，虽然该公司曾努力维持自身在产业界的地位。最后，Matrox转专注到特有、利基的视频需求市场，导致了近几年在整体显卡市场中仅剩不足1%的占有率。<br />
