'''MOS 6502'''（通常发音为 sixty-five-oh-two）是1975年在{{Link-en|查克·佩德尔|Chuck Peddle}}的带领下，由[[MOS科技]]所研發的[[8位元]][[微處理器]]。6502的设计团队曾经在[[摩托罗拉]]设计了[[摩托罗拉6800]]，6502是该设计的一个更简单、更廉价也更高速的版本。當年6502剛問世時是當時效能最強的8位元[[CPU]]，且價格只有大型業者（如[[Motorola]]、[[Intel]]）相近產品的六分之一甚至更低；且除了{{tsl|en|Zilog}}公司的[[Zilog Z80|Z80]]外，6502幾乎快過多數業者的相近產品，進而激起一系列的的電腦專案{{Ref|R01}}，並在之後的1980年代帶來一場[[個人電腦]]的革命。MOS科技僅授權兩家業者能相容研製6502，即是所謂的“第二供貨源”，此分別是[[罗克韦尔国际|洛克威爾國際公司]]（{{link-en|ArvinMeritor|ArvinMeritor|Rockwell International}}）與{{link-en|Synertek公司|Synertek}}，更之後才有更多的業者獲得相容研製的授權，並仍持續在[[嵌入式系統]]的市場中供貨。<br />

[[Apple II]]的采用使得6502成了廣為人知的[[CPU]]，歐美地區發售的[[康懋达国际|Commodore]]系列8位元電腦也大量使用了6502系列CPU。<br />

家用遊戲機[[紅白機]]（使用6502相容指令集的[[Ricoh 2A03]]）、[[文曲星 (电子词典)|文曲星]]电子词典等也采用它。后来的「[[超級任天堂]]」使用了{{tsl|en|65C816}}（16位元版的6502）。<br />
