2010 年前后， [[QCad|QCAD 社区版]] v2.0.5.0 [[分叉 (软件开发)|分支]] 开始了独立开发，形成了现在的 LibreCAD。最早的用户界面是基于 [[Qt|Qt3]] 图形库的。
