===出道前===
ZE:A在出道前，成員們均有演繹經驗，曾經為同門組合出演多首音樂影片舞蹈員，及於現場伴舞。ZE:A由VOS和輝星作為聲樂老師、Poppin賢俊作為舞蹈老師。

7月4日，發行第二張正規專輯《Spectacular》及其主打歌「Aftermath」，這張專輯包含 11首曲目。他們舉辦了一場宣傳專輯的展示會，表演了各種歌曲。

8月9日，[[ZE:A J]]攜首支中文單曲《Marry Me》進軍[[中國]]市場，《Marry Me》是一首甜蜜的求婚歌曲，由[[金桐俊]]參與作詞作曲。20日在[[海南]]舉辦新歌發表會及粉絲見面會。 

9月2日，[[ZE:A J]]發行第二張日語單曲《君のそばに~Love to you~》。

ZE:A帝國之子全員皆離開[[明星帝國娛樂]]，但ZE:A帝國之子始終未宣告解散，[[金桐俊]]在2017年12月13日播出的《黃金漁場Radio Star》節目中更親自證實團體並未解散，只是每個人都換了公司，而且也忙於個人工作或正在服役。
