The following parameters have special meanings:

*<tt>'</tt> (apostrophe) for a primary stress mark (placed before the stressed syllable)
*<tt>,</tt> (comma) for a secondary stress mark (placed before the stressed syllable)
*<tt>.</tt> (period) for a syllable break
