Nexus 5X搭载了高通骁龙808移动平台，搭载2GB LPDDR3 RAM，可选16或32GB存储空间。正面搭载了5.2英寸（对角线长度）FHD IPS LCD，覆盖以康宁第三代大猩猩玻璃。电池为2700mAh的锂离子聚合物电池。
